JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure inspections are carried out by Site Engineers on Civil, Structural and Architectural works. Carry out inspections as my not be covered by Site Engineers.
- Monitoring of all CSA Works during execution.
- Ensure correctness of setting out building grids and elevation.
- Alternate in the check/inspection of bored pile works,diaphragm walls, pile caps/foundation, sub-structure and super structure including civil works, brick works/plastering, waterproofing, etc. as cannot be covered by Site Engineers including extended time at night.
- Assist QA/QC in issuance of Non-Conformance Report(NCR) and follow-up with contractor the closure of the same.
- Always on the look of non-safe activities and site situation then coordinate with Safety Officer to issue Safety Warning/Report.
- Understand shop drawings against design drawings to clearly understand work implementation and inspection. Assist in checking shop drawings as the bulk of work may come at times so much.
- Study design drawings and specifications and raise Request For Information (RFI) to designers if there is ambiguity found.
- Assist contractors to raise RFI if they find any ambiguities.
- Assist Project Manager to check method statements and ensure compliance during work implementation.
- Audit weekly the Contractors submitted Daily Report.Check Weekly Report of Contractors.
- Regularly check together with contractor construction equipment on site as to operation condition, safety and adequacy in number.
- Check site work instrumentations (inclinometer of D-Wall, Settlement/Inclination of building).
- Ensure site housekeeping/cleaning by coordinating with Safety Officer of contractors and Employers safety in-charge.
- Attend Weekly Coordination Meeting with Contractors.
- Assist Project Manager in preparation of Reports.
- Others that maybe instructed from time to time by Project Manager related to overall site works or emergency issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Experience at least 5 years on related tasks
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be confident, assertive and independent.
- Good at English.
