[ Sales Manager – MICE , $700-$1400 ]

Location: Siem Reap, Phnom Penh 

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls, meeting with principals of target market 
  • Provides direction on, and conducts market research and analysis 
  • Develops and maintains contact with business generators,meeting and event convention planners, visitors/convention bureau, corporate accounts, 
  • Government Departments and other producers closely allied to Hotel business 
  • Builds profile within local market place through attendance at various events and local market place 
  • Completion of Customer Follow-up calls on a timely basis.
  • Timely analysis of meeting and catering prices in relation to competition.
  • Entertainment of potential and existing customers.
  • Preparation of Sales Promotions & Mailings.
  • Competitive analysis every 3 months by calling competition and gathering data such as banquet kits, room rental rates, etc.
  • Telemarketing to previous clients to inquire about possible future bookings
  • Monitors competitors activities and assists in marketing intelligence 
  • Plan and conduct site inspections of other catering venue
  • Travel when required to promote the hotel and develop potential business 
  • Monitors existing business and inputs into sales strategy meetings to maximize business 
  • Assesses sales and marketing data 
  • Assists with the preparation of new products and services 
  • Analyses sales mix and likely impact on hotel goals 
  • Implement direction from Director of Sales / Marketing 
  • Targets of room nights to be set by Director of Sales &Marketing

Administration

  • Handle all Catering inquiries and ensure timely follow up on the same business day.
  • To co-ordinate with all large groups meeting/banquet planners their specific group requirements with the services.
  • This includes proposals, contracts, estimated and actual function statements. With banquet or conferences. 
  • To confirm all details relative to group functions with meeting/banquet planners.
  • Evaluation forms must accompany all invoices with Finance department
  • Completion of monthly Summery Banquet forecast report 
  • To work out in menu planning and pricing with F&B Manager/Executive Chef. 
  • Monthly sales report directed by Director of Sales & Marketing.

Quality Service Responsible

  • Liaise on an on-going basis with the Sales Department to ensure all client needs and requirements will be met.
  • Work with Director of Sales & Catering and Banquet manager/ Supervisor to ensure all arrangements and details are dealt with.
  • Establish a rapport with groups to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Minimize number of customer complaints.
  • Ensure a professional attitude and proper business attire when on property, ready to meet or service a client at any time.
  • Staff professional attitude and proper meeting Company appearance 
  • Teamwork-Relations with co-workers and management.
  • Quality of meeting/catering services.
  • Meeting with conveners and confirming proper set-up of Meeting Room for F&B department
  • Ensuring a high level of banquet service.

Human Resources

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Responsible for staff training and development.
  • Department meeting being held monthly. 
  • Personal development and growth.

Financial Responsibilities 

  • Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget. 
  • Controls and monitors MICE revenue on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget by weekly. 
  • Provides input to the annual budget and sales and marketing plan
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience in the same position.
  • A person with fresh, pleasant, energetic personality, and willing to approach clients in most circumstances.
  • Honesty and Commitment, and Self-driven are must.
  • Very good in English by speaking, writing, listen and teleconferences.Other languages are more advantage.
  • Willing to travel to Phnom Penh, other provinces or abroad occasionally.
  • Good networking with potential clients.
